How to upload your Canvas to Spotify (step by step)
You generated an MP4 with AnimateCover. Now what? Here's exactly how to get it live on your track in Spotify for Artists.
Once AnimateCover finishes generating, you'll have a 1080×1920 MP4 file on your device. Spotify makes it straightforward to attach this file to any of your released tracks.
1. Open Spotify for Artists
Go to artists.spotify.com on desktop and sign in with the account that controls your music. The Canvas tool isn't available in the mobile app — you need the desktop site.
2. Find the track
Click Music in the left sidebar, then Releases. Pick the release, then click the specific track you want to add a Canvas to.
3. Open the Canvas section
On the track page, scroll to the Canvas section and click Upload. Drag the MP4 in or browse to it. Spotify will validate it on the spot — if you exported with AnimateCover, every requirement is already met.
4. Publish
Click Publish. The Canvas usually appears on listeners' devices within a few hours. You can replace or remove it any time from the same screen.
